# Command customization

> Give commands aliases, restrict where they work, and replace them with custom replies.

Every server can shape how commands behave without touching code. Configure it on the **dashboard**.

## What you can customize per command

> **Aliases**
>
> Add extra names. An alias can even be typed **without a prefix**, as long as it is the **first word** of the message.

> **Channel rules**
>
> Allow a command only in chosen channels, or block it in some.

> **Role rules**
>
> Allow or block a command for chosen roles.

> **Custom response**
>
> Replace the command's normal output with your own text.

> **Hide or disable**
>
> Hide a command from the list or switch it off for your server.

> **Tidy up**
>
> Delete the member's command message after it runs, and delete the bot's reply if the command message is deleted.

## Server-wide controls

* Set **several prefixes** (the default is `g!`).
* Disable specific channels, roles or commands for the whole server.
