# Logging

> Keep a record of every giveaway action and setting change.

GiveawayX can post a **log message** whenever something happens, so your team always knows who did what.

## What can be logged

**Giveaway actions**

Start, end, edit, delete, reroll, pause, resume, drop, last-to-type, fix and schedule.

**Settings changes**

Color, emoji, role, DM, winner thread, language and log settings changes, and command picks.

Each event type can be switched on or off. Logs can go to one or more channels, or to **different channels per event or group**.

## Style your logs

| Option | What it does |
| - | - |
| Log color | A server-wide accent color. |
| Colors per event | A different color for each type of event. |
| Show who did it | Include the member who performed the action. |
| Branded sender | Send logs with the bot's custom name and avatar for your server. |

> Logs are queued and retried, so rate limits do not make you lose entries. A separate history of actions is also kept even after a giveaway is deleted.
