# Entry requirements

> Decide exactly who can enter: roles, ages, activity, level, boosts, captcha and screenshot verification.

When a member presses **Enter**, the bot checks every requirement on the giveaway. Combine as many as you like. If someone does not qualify, they get a **private message** explaining which requirement they missed.

## Roles

> **Required roles**
>
> Members must have the roles you list. Choose how strict to be:
>
> | Mode | Meaning |
> | - | - |
> | **Any** (default) | Having any one of the roles is enough. |
> | **All** | Members need every listed role. |
> | **Minimum** | Members need at least a number of the listed roles that you choose. |
>
> You can also require that a member has **held the role for a number of minutes**, which stops people from grabbing a role just to enter.

> **Blacklisted roles**
>
> Members with these roles cannot enter.
>
> | Mode | Meaning |
> | - | - |
> | **Any** (default) | Having any listed role blocks entry. |
> | **All** | Blocked only if they have every listed role. |
> | **Minimum** | Blocked if they have at least a chosen number of them. |
> | **Maximum** | Blocked if they have more than a chosen number. |

> **Bypass roles**
>
> Members with a bypass role skip the requirements. Each bypass role can cover:
>
> * **Everything** (default), or
> * **Only some requirements**: roles, messages, server join age, account age, official tag or level.
>
> If a member has several bypass roles, you can combine them all, or use only the **highest** one.

## Membership and activity

> **Account age**
>
> Days since the Discord account was created. Blocks brand-new accounts.

> **Server join age**
>
> Days since the member joined **your** server.

> **Message count**
>
> How many messages the member has sent. Can be limited to certain channels and roles.

> **Minimum level**
>
> Uses the [leveling system](https://docs.giveawayx.lol/features/leveling.md).

> [!NOTE]
>
> The message requirement can be limited to specific **channels** and **roles**. A time-window option exists in the panel, but it is not applied yet.

## Boosts and profile

| Requirement | What it checks |
| - | - |
| Server booster | The member currently boosts your server. |
| Boost count | The member has boosted at least a number of times. |
| Boost duration | The member has been boosting for at least a number of days. |
| Official server tag | The member displays your server's tag. |
| Profile completeness | Score 0 to 2: a custom avatar counts for 1, a banner or accent color counts for 1. |

## Stop bots and alts

> **Entry captcha**
>
> Members solve a captcha before their entry counts. Difficulty: **easy**, **medium** (default) or **hard**.

> **Suspicious usernames**
>
> Flags names with no vowels, long strings of digits, or the same pattern repeated by many new accounts. Strength: off (default), low, medium or high.

## Screenshot verification for social tasks

Running a "follow us" giveaway? Members can be asked to upload a **screenshot** as proof, and an AI checks it for them.

Members who pass are remembered, so they are not asked again for that giveaway.

## Putting it together

**Open to everyone**

No requirements. Anyone who sees the giveaway can enter.

**Members only**

`required_roles:@Member` and `joined_age:7`.

**Anti-alt**

`account_age:30`, `joined_age:7` and the captcha turned on.

**Active community**

`required_level:5` and `required_messages:100`.
