# Recipes

> Ready-made giveaway setups for common situations. Copy, paste and adjust.

Each recipe is a starting point. Replace the role names and prizes with your own.

**Simple weekly giveaway**

A classic giveaway that anyone can enter.

**Members only**

Only people with the Member role who have been around a week.

**Stop alt accounts**

Block brand-new accounts and require the captcha.

Then turn on the captcha in the Studio panel.

**Reward boosters**

Boosters and supporters get extra chances, everyone can still enter.

**Social media task**

Members prove they followed you with a screenshot.

1. Run `/gstart` and choose **Customize in Studio**.
2. Turn on **screenshot verification**.
3. Pick the platform, the action and the account name to look for.
4. Publish.

**Surprise drop**

The first three to claim win.

## Common situations

> **I made a typo in the prize**
>
> Run `/gedit` and fix it. The giveaway message updates right away, nobody loses their entry.

> **A winner never replied**
>
> Use `/greroll` with the `replace` option to replace only that winner, or turn on `auto_claim` next time so it happens automatically.

> **I need more time**
>
> Run `/gedit` and set a new `duration`. It is counted from now.

> **I need to stop it for a moment**
>
> `/gpause`, then `/gresume` later. The remaining time is preserved.

> **Something looks stuck**
>
> Run `/gfix` on the giveaway and follow the report.

> **Run it every month**
>
> Use `/gschedule create` with a monthly recurrence.
