# Templates

> Save giveaway settings once and reuse them as often as you like.

A **template** stores a giveaway's settings under a name. Start the same kind of giveaway again with `/gstart template:<name>` or `/gschedule create template:<name>`. Anything you type on the command overrides the template.

## What a template remembers

> **Basics**

> Name, prize, description, duration, winners, channel.

> **Media**
>
> Image and thumbnail.

> **Roles**
>
> Required, bypass, blacklist and winner roles, with their modes.

> **Requirements**
>
> Join age, account age, invites, messages, level, official tag.

> **Verification**
>
> Screenshot verification settings.

> **Entries**
>
> Bonus entries and entry type (button or reaction).

It also remembers options such as repeat, sticky, auto-claim settings and the custom creation message.

## Commands

| Command | What it does |

| `/gtemplate create` | Make a new template. |
| `/gtemplate edit basic` | Edit name, prize, duration, winners, channel and description. |
| `/gtemplate edit requirements` | Edit role, age, invite, message and level requirements. |
| `/gtemplate edit entries` | Edit bonus and vote entries. |
| `/gtemplate edit media` | Edit the image and thumbnail. |
| `/gtemplate list` | See all templates. |
| `/gtemplate view` | See the full details of one. |
| `/gtemplate preview` | See a visual mockup of the giveaway. |
| `/gtemplate duplicate` | Copy a template under a new name. |
| `/gtemplate delete` | Delete one (asks for confirmation). |
| `/gtemplate export` | Download a template as a shareable file. |
| `/gtemplate import` | Load a template from an exported file. |

> Use **export** and **import** to move a template between your servers, or to keep a backup.

## Using a template

```text Use as is theme={"system"}
/gstart template:weekly-nitro
```

```text Override some values theme={"system"}
/gstart template:weekly-nitro winners:3 duration:2d
```

```text Schedule it theme={"system"}
/gschedule create template:weekly-nitro start_time:1d
```

The second example keeps everything from the template but changes the winners and duration. If the template has no prize or duration, the bot tells you which one is missing.
