A sticky message is re-posted as people chat so it stays visible. Perfect for rules, announcements or “read this first” notes. Manage them with /sticky (requires Manage Messages).

Building a sticky

Sticky messages are built from blocks, up to 12 blocks each:

Text

Formatted text.

Separator

A divider line.

Section

Text with an accessory.

Image

A picture or gallery.

Button

A clickable button.

When it is re-sent

Anything other than “every message” needs Tier 1.

Timing options

Immediate, or delayed, which waits for a pause in the conversation (5 seconds by default) before re-posting so it does not interrupt a fast chat.

Triggers

Depending on your tier, a sticky can also appear on a keyword, on a schedule, up to a maximum number of times, with a per-user cooldown, or when someone reacts to a message.
